The First Pitch:
• Longwood is set to take on George Mason in a midweek matchup Tuesday.
• Longwood comes into this week after dropping their first conference series to Winthrop over the weekend.
• Longwood, who continues to play on the road Tuesday, will host Presbyterian in their first home conference weekend starting Friday night.
• The Lancers and George Mason split a season ago, as both teams won the game on the road.

• Longwood is set to hit the road for a midweek matchup Tuesday in Fairfax, Va.
• The Lancers look to bounce back from their game Weekend series which saw them drop two of three at Winthrop.
• The Lancers experience has been a steady piece on both sides of the ball this season.

Willie Havens help lead the way for Longwood behind the plate, while
Guillermo Garcia Jr. and
Brenton Fisher start two of the three weekend series games.
• The Lancers struck in the second inning of game one, but were kept off balance through six.
• Longwood wouldn't go away quietly though and gave themselves momentum for game two, as they plated three in the eighth inning.
Keondre Shelton, who had a stellar day hit an RBI single before
Collin Hughes would bring in two more to bring the score to 8-4.
• In game two, Guillermo Garcia, who stuck out six in his 3.0 innings, was dominant and kept the Eagles off balance.

Willie Havens blasted his third home run of the season to straight away center with a solo shot in the third inning. That homerun helped Longwood to take a 2-0 lead.

Corbin McCloud blasted a one out double into the right field corner to take an 8-6 lead. Two batters later,
Keondre Shelton hit a ball in the exact same spot to trade places with McCloud. From there Longwood would add another run from a bases loaded walk. When the damage was done, Longwood led 10-6

Ried Dittner was dominant on the bump the last two innings to close out the game for Longwood, earning the victory.
• In game three Winthrop jumped out to a 5-0 lead, but Longwood would not go away easily.
Tanner Thomas hit a two out double in the top half of the fourth, and
James Nelson singled two batters later to cut the lead to two at 5-3.
• Longwood would eventually drop the deciding game three, after fighting, but left the bases loaded in the ninth inning.
• The Lancers are still proving that they are not afraid when it comes to being hit by a pitch. They currently sit third in the country in HBP at 56
.• Longwood has also proven to be an unselfish bunch at the plate this season as they have the sixth most sacrifice bunts on the season in the country at 21.
• Following Tuesday's game Longwood will return home and play host to its first conference series at Buddy Bolding Stadium this season against Presbyterian.
