The First Pitch:
•    Longwood is set to take on VCU and William & Mary in the midweek.
•    Longwood comes into the weekend after losing to South Carolina on the road to wrap up its road trip.
•    Longwood has battled over this eight-game road trip, where they have lost multiple close games.
•    The Lancers return home for two games before starting conference play at Winthrop.
•    First pitch is set for 4 p.m., both days.

Around The Bases:
•    Longwood returns home for two midweek matchups against two teams from the Commonwealth.
•    The Lancers look to bounce back from their past weekend which ultimately saw them drop three games at No. 21 South Carolina.
•    Hayden Harris has been a steady bat for the Lancers where he saw his hitting streak rise to 13 games before ultimately ending on Sunday.
•    In game one, the Lancers lost 10-0. Longwood had multiple chances, but wasn't unable to push across runs in the big moment, as South Carolina wiggled out of multiple jams.
•    Willie Havens went 3-for-4 with a double to help pace the Lancers in the opening game.
•    Kevin Warunek also had a solid outing for Longwood as he threw 2.0 IP, striking out four.
•    In game two, the story was similar. After four complete innings the game was tied at 1. From there, Longwood stranded runners in the fifth, sixth, seventh and ninth innings to ultimately drop game two, 10-2.
•    Longwood recorded nine hits on the night. Seven different Lancers recorded a hit.
•    Corbin McCloud was the standout at the plate for Longwood in game two where he was 2-for-3 on the night. He is now batting .385 for the Lancers.
•    In game three Longwood got down early trailing 2-0 after two complete. After a safety squeeze play, and a Noah Campanelli home run, Longwood took a 4-2 lead. South Carolina responded, however, with four of their own in the bottom half of the third, and would never look back. They used a big sixth inning to put the game out of reach, wrapping the weekend series up.
•    The Lancers are still proving that they are not afraid when it comes to being hit by a pitch. Longwood currently sits fourth in the country in HBP at 46.
•    Longwood has proven to be an unselfish bunch at the plate this season as they have the 6th most sacrifice bunts on the season in the country at 16.
