FARMVILLE, Va. –Longwood freshman Sophie Farley once again stood out, and once again the Big South noticed.
 
Farley won the Lancer Pink Invitational last Friday, and she was named the Big South Runner of the Week today, the conference office announced.
 
Farley posted an 18:39 en route to her win, and she led a Lancer group that has continued to improve its team time average throughout the season.
 
For Farley, it was her third time earning Big South weekly honors after twice being named the Freshman of the Week earlier in the fall.
 
The Lancers are back in action at the USC Upstate Invitational this weekend. The race begins at 9 a.m. and is the team's final race prior to the Big South Championship on Friday, November 1.
