  • Longwood welcomed Charleston Southern for a weekend conference series. The Lancers celebrated Alumni Day on Saturday, recognizing softball players of the past in between games.
  • Games one and two were played on Saturday while game three was played on Sunday at 1 p.m.
  • The Lancers won the series 2-1, earning a doubleheader sweep on Saturday while dropping an eleven-inning affair 1-0 on Sunday.
  • Longwood was victorious in game one by a score of 3-1. Reggie Kanagawa threw a complete seven innings and the Lancers won despite only recording three hits in the game.
  • Longwood's offense was a bit more potent in game two, recording seven hits on route to a 5-2 win. Er'ron Burton earned the win, allowing zero runs in five innings in relief of Maggie Chapin.
  • Game three was a pitchers' duel, as Reggie Kanagawa and CSU's Annah Junge battled all the way to a 0-0 score at the beginning of the 11th inning.
  • Kanagawa recorded a career-high 12 strikeouts in the loss.
  • Jaden Pone was awarded Big South Co-Player of the Week for her efforts against Charleston Southern and Gardner-Webb. It was the sophomore's third such award this season.
  • Longwood's all-time record against Charleston Southern moved to 27-10.
