TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – After going through three different delays due to inclement weather, Longwood softball's opening game of the season against Purdue at the JoAnne Graf Classic has been suspended. The game is set to resume on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. followed by a slew of softball to round out the rest of the weekend.
The Lancers and Boilermakers were battling through the first five innings of play before the game was ultimately suspended. Longwood had recently tied the contest at one apiece off the heels of a
Lauren Taylor single that brought
Lauren Fox home to the first Lancer run of the 2023 campaign. The game will resume tomorrow morning tied 1-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Given that Longwood vs. Purdue was the day's first game, the suspension affected the rest of the weekend's schedule. Take a look at the rest of Longwood's schedule in Tallahassee below:
