FARMVILLE, Va. – Legendary Longwood baseball coach Charles "Buddy" Bolding will be inducted into the
Virginia Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame on December 15 at the VCBA's annual convention in Fairfax, Virginia, the VCBA announced.

The VBCA Convention in Fairfax will be at the Fairfax Marriott, and the Hall of Fame ceremony will be from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, December 15.

Bolding, who was inducted as a member of the
Longwood Athletics Hall of Fame in 2018, built the Lancer program from the ground up.
Â
He coached Longwood from 1978-2013, and the team's field is named after him.
Â
During his time at the helm of the Lancers, he amassed a 953-544-4 record. He led the team to the Division II College World Series in both 1982 and 1991 and six Division II regionals.

He coached five All-Americans, nine Major League Baseball Draft Picks and six Virginia College Players of the Year during his 35-year tenure. From 1978-2004, he guided the team to a winning record, a streak of 26 straight winning seasons.
