Oxendine Releases Spring Baseball Schedule

Lancers Face Five NCAA Tournament Teams in 54-Game Slate

FARMVILLE, Va. - Third-year Longwood Baseball Head Coach Chad Oxendine has released the team's 2024 season schedule which includes 54 games, 23 of which will be held at Buddy Bolding Stadium in Farmville.
 
The schedule brings plenty of opportunities for the Lancers to test themselves, with 11 games against teams who played in the NCAA tournament last season including North Carolina, South Carolina, George Mason, Samford, and Duke. Nine of these contests will be on the road.
 
In total, Oxendine and the Lancers welcome 11 teams to Buddy Bolding Stadium.
Baseball Home Schedule for 2024

Longwood opens the season with back-to-back home weekends against Siena and Iona before heading on the road for eight straight.
 
While on the road, they take on Power 5 foes North Carolina and South Carolina. Late in the season, the team travels to play Duke for a doubleheader.
 
Other non-conference matchups include a March trip to Samford along with regional home-and-homes against VCU, George Mason and Richmond. The Lancers also will host William & Mary.
 
Baseball Away Schedule for 2024 Spring
The team opens conference play at Winthrop, and Longwood also travels to play at High Point, Gardner-Webb and Radford.
 
The Lancers will host Presbyterian, Charleston Southern, UNC Asheville and USC Upstate for their home conference dates.
 
The Big South Championship will take place at Truist Park in High Point, North Carolina from May 23-25. The top four teams in the Big South will qualify for the tournament.
 
The Lancers return 23 players from last year's team while adding 21 newcomers. Of the newcomers, 11 are freshmen, accompanied by 10 transfer students.
