BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Longwood men's tennis team scored a 7-0 victory over Ashland University. This makes the Lancers' fourth victory in a row and fifth away game in as many contests.
Doubles
No. 1 doubles saw Eagles senior Stuart Brdicka and Jordan Phelps score a 6-4 win over freshman and graduate Lancers
Luis Reis and
Rosen Naydenov. In No.2 and No.3 doubles the pairs of freshman
Nikhil Kulkarni and junior
Ernest Rocabert as well as graduate
Jourdan Kast and freshman
Lukas Krause retaliated with 6-4 and 6-1 wins respectively.
Singles
The Lancers took all six singles matches in straight sets, starting at no. 1 singles Naydenov took home a 6-0, 6-0 win. In No. 2 Kast achieved a 6-2, 6-1 victory, and in No.6 singles Krause won 6-1, 6-1. In No.3, No.4, and No.5 singles Rocabert won-out 6-2, 6-0, freshman
Yoav Weinberg triumphed 6-3, 6-0, and Reis gained a 6-2, 6-2 victory.
