Farmville, Va.- Radford men's tennis defeated Longwood by a score of 7-0. The victory is Radford's ninth of the season and third in conference play.
Doubles
Radford's (9-5) No.1 duo of Demi Taramonlis and Andres Silva won 6-0 over
Guillermo Cagigas and
Ernest Rocabert. Guilherme Severin and Dinos Raptis defeated
Luis Reis and
Rosen Naydenov 6-3 in No.2 doubles, clinching the point for Radford. Longwood's (5-7)
Yoav Weinberg and
Nikhil Kulkarni were leading over Adityn Balseker and Robert Hagen 5-3 but the match did not finish due to the point being clinched by Radford.
Singles
Taramonlis, Severin and Silva took the first three singles matches in straight sets over Naydenov, Kast and Cagigas, respectively. Raptis defeated Rocabert in a heated No.4 singles in a tiebreaker, 3-6, 7-6(4), 10-6. Balsker and Hagen took the No.5 and No.6 singles matches over Weinberg and Kulkarni, respectively in straight sets.
