The Opening Tip
•    Longwood continues a compacted segment of its Big South schedule Saturday with a trip to Campbell in Buies Creek, N.C. The game tips off at 2 p.m. and will be Longwood's second in a 48-hour span. It will also be the second of three games in a five-day stretch.
•    Longwood is 2-1 this season when playing on 48 hours rest or less.
•    Senior JaShaun Smith is just 79 points shy of reaching 1,000 for his career. He would be Longwood's 23rd player to reach that milestone.
•    Longwood junior forward Ilija Stefanovic and Campbell sophomore forward Milos Stajcic both hail from Serbia. Stefanovic is from Novi Sad and Stajcic from Belgrade, which are approximately 60 miles apart.
•    The last meeting between Longwood and Campbell came down to the buzzer with Camels guard Chris Clemons blocking a desperation three-pointer in the final second to preserve a 74-72 win.

Last Time Out
•    Behind a near double-double from Preseason All-Big South forward Cory Hightower, red-hot Presbyterian continued its undefeated run through the Big South with a 74-67 win over Longwood Thursday evening in Willett Hall.
•    Hightower spearheaded Presbyterian's best shooting night of the season, scoring 16 points, grabbing eight rebounds and dishing six assists as the Blue Hose shot .558 (24-of-43) from the floor and .455 (10-of-22) from three-point range.
•    Presbyterian hit 9-of-15 three-pointers in the first half and used that cushion to hold off a late Longwood charge that cut the deficit back to single digits in the closing minutes.
•    Lancer point guard Juan Munoz continued his breakout sophomore campaign with 12 points for his fourth straight double-figure scoring game, while freshman Heru Bligen – in his first career start – matched his career high for a second straight game with 11 points.

By The Numbers
•    Longwood is the second-best free throw shooting team in the Big South, shooting .718 (260-of-362) from the charity stripe.
•    The Lancers have forced the fourth-most turnovers (265) in the Big South and swiped the third-most steals per game (7.0).
•    Lancer freshman Heru Bligen drew his first career start last time out against Presbyterian and delivered his second straight double-figure scoring gam with 11 points, matching the career high he set in the previous outing.
•    Over his past five games, Bligen is averaging 7.2 points and 19.0 minutes per game compared to 1.7 points and 7.3 minutes in his first seven.
•    Freshman forward Leslie Nkereuwem leads Longwood and ranks sixth in the Big South with 2.1 offensive rebounds per game.
•    Nkereuwem has more offensive rebounds (38) than defensive rebounds (27), joining High Point's Caden Sanchez as the only Big South players with more offensive boards than defensive (minimum 40 rebounds).
•    The Lancers compiled a team GPA of 3.13 during the fall 2019 semester, which ranks as the program's highest of the Division I era.
•    Point guard Juan Munoz is on the most productive scoring tear of his career with four consecutive double-digit efforts. He is Longwood's leading scorer in Big South play with 13.6 points per game and is shooting a team-leading .414 (12-of-29) from long range in conference play.
•    Munoz is the Big South's No. 3 bench scorer with 8.6 points per game. He has come off the bench in 12 of his 16 games and also ranks tied for sixth in the Big South with 3.0 assists per game and eighth with 1.7 steals.
•    Munoz has at least one steal in 10 straight games.
•    Longwood has had a double-digit scorer off the bench in 14 of 18 games this season.

Quotable
"Heru's an athletic, energetic player. I just think his activity level gives him the opportunity to be really successful. He was a kid whom when we recruited him was probably the hardest-playing player I saw that summer. We love that about him."
— Longwood head coach on freshman Heru Bligen's recent surge
