•Longwood enters the game against Norfolk State, set to play the Spartans after their scheduled meeting for March 20 in Farmville was canceled due to rain.

Justin Mitchell won Saturday's game two at Liberty on a two-run homer in the ninth, sending the Lancers to an 8-6 victory.
•Senior outfielder Sammy Miller is the team captain and Longwood's lead-off man. Miller reaches base at a rate of .386 (27-for-70) when leading off an inning.

Grant Keller capped off the best month of his career with a 6-for-16 series against Liberty.

Tyler Morgan picked up the Big South Pitcher of the Week award on April 16, becoming the 10th Lancer to win a weekly award.

Scouting Norfolk State
•Longwood last met Norfolk State May 10, 2017 in Norfolk and took the game 13-6. Scheduled to meet earlier this season, the first match between the Lancers and Spartans was rained out.
•Norfolk State is led in hitting by Justin Hayes, who is hitting .367 with a team-high 22 stolen bases.
•Aaron Robinson (.317) and Alsander Womack (.302) are each hitting above .300 for the Spartans.
