The Opening Tip
•    Longwood heads to Clinton, S.C., Saturday in search of a regular season sweep against Presbyterian. The Lancers won the first meeting this year 79-76 in Farmville.
•    Longwood is down to just seven available scholarship players after a rash of injuries. Most recently, redshirt sophomore point guard Bryan Gee was shut down for the season due to prolonged overtraining syndrome stemming from offseason surgery. Damarion Geter (broken foot), Jahleem Montague (torn ACL) and Juan Munoz (torn ACL) are also on the team's long-term injury report, while Kendrick Thompson will miss the remainder of the year due to academic reasons.
•    Senior guard Darrion Allen is just 33 points shy of reaching 1,000 for his career.
•    Redshirt junior forward Khris Lane has scored in double figures in 10 consecutive games.

Last Time Out
•    Liberty guard Ryan Kemrite scored 22 points and hit five three-pointers to lead a long-range barrage that lifted the Flames to a 93-62 win against Longwood Thursday evening in Willett Hall.
•    Behind Kemrite's 5-of-7 shooting performance from beyond the arc, Liberty netted season highs in points, made three-pointers and three-point percentage against an injury-depleted Longwood team that down to just seven scholarship players.
•    Seven different Flames hit a trey on a night when Liberty knocked down 17-of-30 three-pointers en route to their fifth win in the past six games.
•    Longwood senior Darrion Allen who finished with a team-high 20 points, hitting 13-of-14 free throws.
•    Longwood forward and team scoring leader Khris Lane added 19 points, carrying the Lancers early with 10 first-half points. That production came on 6-of-13 shooting, including two three-pointers.

By The Numbers
•    In Big South play, Longwood is 3-1 when entering the final two minutes of the game either tied, leading or trailing by no more than two possessions.
•    Longwood is 4-0 when outrebounding the opposition this season, including all three Big South wins. The Lancers outrebounded Presbyterian 32-27 in the last meeting.
•    The injury-riddled Lancers have five players averaging at least 20.0 minutes per game and three — Darrion Allen (35.5 mpg.), Khris Lane (33.0) and Isaiah Walton (31.3) averaging at least 30.0 minutes per game.
•    Longwood ranks third in the Big South with 4.4 blocks per game and has three players — JaShaun Smith (5th, 1.3 bpg.), Khris Lane (6th, 1. bpg.) and Darrion Allen (9th, 0.9 bpg.) — ranked in the top 10 in blocks per game.
•    Smith, Lane and Allen have as many or more combined blocks (65) than five Big South teams.
•    Guards Darrion Allen and Isaiah Walton and forward Khris Lane are the second-highest scoring trio in the Big South, averaging 44.2 points per game, trailing only Campbell's Chris Clemons, Shane Whitfield and Kyre' Hamer (46.6 ppg.).
•    Lane has scored in double figures in 10 consecutive games and leads Longwood with 17 double-digit scoring games.
•    Lane is the Big South's only player to rank among the league's top five in both scoring (4th, 16.4 ppg.) and rebounding (4th, 7.2 rpg.).
•    Allen is just 33 points shy of reaching 1,000 for his career. Allen, who also ranks among the school's top five in career three-point percentage (.363) and free throw percentage (.813) would be the sixth 1,000-point scorer of Longwood's Division I era.
•    Senior guard Isaac Belton has started all nine Big South games and is averaging 6.0 points per game during that span. Belton entered his senior season without a single career start and a career scoring average of just 2.3 points per game.
