LEADING OFF
• Longwood finishes off the 2015 road schedule with a Tuesday trip to Durham, N.C. to face the Duke Blue Devils.

• Duke is the third ACC opponent Longwood has faced in the past month after facing Virginia and NC State.
• With its series victory over the weekend, Longwood secured a spot in the Big South Tournament, marking a return to the postseason after missing out in 2014.
• Tuesday will be the 12th all-time meeting between the Lancers and Blue Devils with Duke holding an 8-2-1 edge in the series. The Blue Devils are one of the Lancers' oldest D-I opponents with the series dating back to 1980.

SCOUTING DUKE
• The Blue Devils enter Tuesday's game at 28-21 on the season and 8-18 in Atlantic Coast Conference play.
• Longwood is the third Big South opponent to face Duke in 2015. The Blue Devils took a pair of games from Liberty (3-2, 3-1) while falling to Campbell (9-6).
• Duke is coming off a weekend at Virginia in which the Blue Devils took the middle game of a three-game set.
• The Blue Devils are led offensively by Peter Zyla who is swinging at a .327 clip on the season. Meanwhile, Cris Perez leads the way in the RBI-column with 28 on the season.
• Tuesday's game will also feature two of the nation's top base stealers as Duke's Andy Perez sits 10th in the country with 29 and Longwood's Colton Konvicka is a stolen base behind in 14th.

THE FINAL WEEK
• Longwood can breathe a little easier heading into the final four games of the season as the blue and white secured its spot in the Big South Tournament.
• With the series victory on the road at Gardner-Webb, the Lancers locked up a return to postseason play after Longwood missed out a season ago.
• With the rest of the weekend results, Longwood moved into the seventh spot in the conference standings by way of the head-to-head tiebreaker with Charleston Southern.
• Following Tuesday's game at Duke to round out the non-conference slate, the Lancers will host Winthrop in a Thursday-Saturday series to conclude the regular season.
• The Lancers can still finish in either the sixth, seventh or eighth spot in the Big South.
• Longwood will then travel to Boiling Springs, N.C. for the 2015 Big South Tournament. The Lancers are making their second appearance in three years as members of the conference.
