The Opening Tip
• Coming off a 90-79 double-overtime victory over Big South preseason darling Radford, Longwood hits the road for two-game road trip at conference preseason favorite Coastal Carolina on Jan. 8 and at Charleston Southern on Jan. 10.
• Longwood's first four conference games are against four of the Big South's top five vote-getters in the league's preseason poll. The Lancers opened at No. 4 Winthrop on Dec. 31, defeated No. 3 Radford on Jan. 3 and will play back-to-back road games at No. 1 Coastal Carolina and No. 5 Charleston Southern.
• The Lancers have played back-to-back overtime games. Longwood took Winthrop to overtime in an 82-72 loss on New Year's Eve and then upended Radford 90-79 in double overtime on Jan. 3. Longwood is 2-1 in overtime games this season.

Last Time Out
Leron Fisher scored a career-high 26 points, including 15 in overtime, to help Longwood upset Big South preseason No. 3 choice Radford 90-79 in double overtime Saturday in Willett Hall. Fisher hit 14-of-14 free throws in the game to set the Longwood Division I record for made free throws.
• Fisher was one of two 20-point scorers for Longwood, joining the Big South's leading freshman scorer Ryan Badowski, who scored 22 points while hitting 7-of-8 field goals and 5-of-6 shots from three-point range.
• Longwood trailed Radford 56-44 with 5:10 left in regulation but mounted an 11-0 run en route to tying the score at 58-58 in the final minute.
• Longwood also overcame a six-point deficit in the first overtime period and tied the game with four seconds left on a Quincy Taylor layup.

By The Numbers
• Longwood has the most productive scoring trio in the Big South. The three-player tandem of Quincy Taylor (16.3 ppg.), Shaquille Johnson (13.5) and Lotanna Nwogbo (12.9) combine to average 42.7 points per game, the highest scoring average of any three leading scorers in the Big South. All three of those Lancers rank among the Big South's top 15 in scoring.
• Longwood leads the Big South in both forced turnovers (233) and steals (111). Longwood is 3-1 when forcing at least 20 turnovers.
• Longwood has played 15 extra minutes of basketball over the past two games, taking both Winthrop and Radford into overtime. The Lancers rallied late to force Winthrop into an extra period but fell, 82-72, in Rock Hill, S.C. The Lancers rebounded from that extra-minute loss at home against Radford Saturday, however, and outlasted the Highlanders 90-79 through two overtimes. Longwood is 2-1 in overtime games this season.
• Freshman guard Ryan Badowski was held scoreless in a 58-53 loss at UMBC on Dec. 14 but has rattled off four double-digit scoring games and at least nine points in all five games since. Badowski is averaging 14.2 points per game during that stretch while shooting 15-of-27 (.556) from three-point range. The scoreless game against UMBC was the only such game of his career.
• Badowski is the Big South's leading freshman scorer at 10.4 points per game. He is the only league freshman averaging double-digit scoring.
• Redshirt junior center Lotanna Nwogbo has double-doubles in back-to-back games heading into Thursday's game. Nwogbo is averaging 17.5 points and 13.0 rebounds during that stretch. He has four double-doubles on the year.
• Junior guard Leron Fisher has hit 19 consecutive free throws and 29 of his last 31 shots (93.6 percent) from the charity stripe. Fisher ranks sixth in the Big South and leads Longwood with a .822 (37-of-45) free throw percentage.
