The Opening Tip
• Longwood returns to the road for two games, as the Lancers travel to Lynch­burg, Va., to play Liberty Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 7 p.m.
• In conference play, guard Raven Wil­liams is fourth in the league averaging 15.6 points per conference game. Wil­liams has scored 16 or more points in eight of her past nine games.
• The Lancers are averaging 18.3 points per game from three-point range this season, which leads the Big South.
Raven Williams leads the Lancers and ranks among the top 15 in the Big South in points (12.7), assists (2.75), steals (1.50), three-point field goals per game (1.88) and three-point shooting percent­age (.330).

Last Time Out
• Radford utilized freshman forwards Jan­ayla White and Jayda Worthy early and often against under-sized Longwood, as the Highlanders posted a 78-60 victory Saturday afternoon inside Willett Hall.
• Radford raced out of the gate to a 23-4 lead in the opening 7:46 of the game and the Lancers could never fully recover.
• Playing without the services of Emily Nylen – who was battling an illness – Longwood struggled guarding the size of the Highlanders. Radford held a 42-18 advantage in the paint and a 43-26 ad­vantage on the boards.
• For Longwood, Micaela Ellis finished with a season-high 11 points and posted two assists. The game marked the first time in her career that Ellis finished in double figures.

By The Numbers
• Longwood has been successful shoot­ing the three this season, as the Lancers have made at least four three-point field goals in each game they've played. Long­wood hit a season-high 10 three-point field goals against George Mason and Gardner-Webb.
• The Lancers have played a total of five schools from a power five conference this season — Wake Forest, Florida, Vir­ginia Tech, Virginia and Clemson. The five games against the power five is the most of any team in the Big South this season.
Raven Williams has been Longwood's top threat from beyond the arc this sea­son, as she is ranked fourth in the confer­ence with 1.88 treys per contest.
• Williams has averaged 15.6 points per game throughout conference and scored 16 or more points in her past eight games prior to Saturday's game against Rad­ford.
Emily Nylen has climbed into the top 10 in blocked shots in the Big South this sea­son. Nylen is averaging 1.17 blocks per game and is fourth in conference play with 1.83 blocks per game.
• Longwood has utilized a total of six differ­ent starting lineups this season.
• This season marks the 99th season for Longwood women's basketball, as the Lancers have a record of 568-549 since 1970. The Lancers officially made the jump to Division I for the 2007-08 sea­son and are 63-129 in those seven sea­sons. Prior to making the jump to Division I, Longwood made four NCAA Division II Tournaments (1995, '96, '97, '03).
• Longwood named three players team captains — senior Rianna Frazer, junior Deborah Headen and junior Raven Wil­liams.

Scouting Liberty
• The Lancers will make the short drive to Lynchburg, Va., to play in-state rival Lib­erty Tuesday evening inside the Vines Center. Liberty sits atop the Big South standings with a 6-0 record and a 10-5 mark overall.
• The Flames were last in action on Jan. 8, where the squad defeated Coastal Car­olina, 66-47, in Conway, S.C. The Flames have won four straight games following a 84-44 loss to top-ranked South Carolina.
• Karly Buer leads the Flames offensive at­tack, as she is averaging 13.1 points per contest. Ashley Rinninger is second on the squad, averaging 10.7 points and 8.9 rebounds in 15 games this season.
• The Flames are second in the league in rebounding margin with a +5.7, while ranking third in blocked shots with 5.27 per contest.
