BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. -- Jenny Lunde and Ronia Hutterli secured wins in singles competition at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, to lead tournament host and No. 8 Gardner-Webb University to a 4-0 Big South Conference Women's Tennis Championship first round victory against No. 9 Longwood University on Monday at the Webb Tennis Complex in Boiling Springs, North Carolina. The Lancers finish their season with a final record of 3-12, while the Runnin' Bulldogs (10-12) advance to play No. 1 Charleston Southern on Tuesday, April 15 at 11:30 a.m.
Gardner-Webb captured the doubles point as Lunde and Rokia Sacko defeated freshmen

Anna Pelak/McLean, 8-1 at No. 2, while the No. 3 team of Mary Walker Mixon and Teodora Stanciu defeated senior

The Runnin' Bulldogs took three singles contests to earn the team win as Lunde bested Alatorre, 6-3, 6-1, at No. 2, Hutterli defeated senior
Sarah Moomau/Winchester, 6-4, 6-2, at No. 3, and Catherine White defeated Law, 6-2, 6-3, at No. 6.
