The Opening Tip
• Longwood will host back-to-back games inside Willett Hall for the first time this season, as the Lancers wel­come Gardner-Webb on Sunday.
• The game will be the third Big South contest of the season for both squads, as the Lancers and Runnin' Bulldogs are looking for their first win in confer­ence play.
• After playing eight of their first 10 games have been on the road to open the 2014-15 season, Longwood is in the midst of hosting five of six contests inside Willett Hall.
• The game against Gardner-Webb will mark the first of 18 straight Big South games on the Lancers schedule.

Last Time Out
 • George Mason guard Taylor Brown stole the spotlight with 35 points to lift the Patriots to an 83-61 victory over Longwood Monday night at Willett Hall.
• Raven Williams scored 19 points to match her season-high and the per­formance marks the fourth straight contest that the junior has scored 16 or more points. In addition, Williams filled the stat sheet with five assists to go along with five rebounds and one steal in 32 minutes of playing time.
• Deborah Headen joined Williams in double figure scoring, as she scored 14 of her 16 points in the first half, includ­ing 4-of-5 shooting from beyond the arc.

By The Numbers
• Longwood has been successful shoot­ing the three this season, as the Lanc­ers have made at least four three-point field goals in each game they've played. Longwood hit a season-high 10 treys against George Mason and hit eight three-pointers at Richmond.
• The Lancers have played a total of five schools from a power five conference this season — Wake Forest, Florida, Virginia Tech, Virginia and Clemson. The five games against the power five is the most of any team in the Big South this season.
• Raven Williams has been Longwood's top threat from beyond the arc this season, as she is ranked fourth in the conference with 2.00 treys per con­test.
• Williams has heated up since starting the season slow. The junior has record­ed four straight games with at least 16 or more points, including 19 points against George Mason.
• Longwood has utilized a total of four different starting lineups this season.
• This season marks the 99th season for Longwood women's basketball, as the Lancers have a record of 566-542 since 1970. The Lancers officially made the jump to Division I for the 2007-08 season and are 61-122 in those seven seasons. Prior to making the jump to Division I, Longwood made four NCAA Division II Tournaments (1995, '96, '97, '03).
• Longwood named three players team captains — senior Rianna Frazer, junior Deborah Headen and junior Raven Wil­liams.

Scouting Gardner-Webb
• Gardner-Webb heads into Sunday's contest with a 4-7 overall record and an 0-2 mark in the Big South. The game against Longwood will be the end of a stretch that saw the Runnin' Bulldogs play seven of their past eight games away from Boiling Springs, N.C.
• Gardner-Webb was last in action on Dec. 20, as the squad traveled to Cal­ifornia for a game at Kennesaw St. The Runnin' Bulldogs dropped a hard-fought game, 50-47.
• Jessica Hellig leads Gardner-Webb in scoring this season with 13.4 points per game. In addition, Candace Brown and Olivia Parker are averaging 10.2 points apiece. Gardner-Webb is led in rebounding by Olivia Parker with 7.3 boards per contest.
