At Radford in the match-opening doubles competition, senior
Marta Pinyol/Barcelona, Spain and Shulman fell at No. 1, 6-8. Sophomore
Malin Allgurin/Värnamo, Sweden and Moomau won at No. 2, 8-2. Senior
Hannah Hill/Portsmouth and Parker fell at No. 3, 5-8. In singles, Pinyol fell at No. 1, 3-6, 6-3, 5-7. Allgurin fell at No. 2, 5-7, 3-6. Shulman won at No. 3, 4-0, retired. Moomau won at No. 4, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2. Hill fell at No. 5, 3-6, 1-6. Parker won at No. 6, 6-4, 6-3. The match took over four and a half hours to complete.
