ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Longwood University dropped a 4-0 quarterfinal decision against No. 1 Winthrop University at the 2013 Big South Conference Women's Tennis Championship on Thursday in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The Lancers, under the direction of second-year head coach
Jakob Gustafsson, have completed their 2012-13 campaign with a final record of 7-14. The tournament-host and top-seeded Eagles improved to 16-9 while advancing to a conference championship semifinal contest on Friday, April 19.

Nicole Parker/Richmond did not finish at No. 3, as the doubles outcome had already been decided. In singles, Allgurin fell at No. 2, 1-6, 1-6. Shulman fell at No. 3, 0-1, retired. Moomau fell at No. 4, 0-6, 0-6. Pinyol, Hill and Parker did not need to finish at No.'s 1, 5 and 6, respectively.
Longwood could return as many as four letterwinners for 2013-14.
