FAIRFAX, Va. – Longwood University won another women's tennis road match, defeating Towson University of the Colonial Athletic Association Sunday morning in Towson, Maryland 5-2. Freshman Malin Allgurin|Värnamo, Sweden (Finnvedens Gymnasium) extended her win streak to nine, defeating her #3 singles foe 6-4, 6-3 while also winning her #1 doubles match 8-5. The Lancers (9-9) return to Lancer Courts in Farmville, welcoming George Washington University of the Atlantic 10 Conference on Sunday, April 6 at 2 p.m.

Junior Allison Shulman|Richmond (Deep Run) was Allgurin's partner in the doubles win, while the junior fell in three sets at #2 singles 2-6, 6-3, 10-3. Junior Marta Pinyol|Barcelona, Spain (IESM Ferran Tallada) won 6-1, 6-0 at #1 singles and paired with sophomore Sarah Moomau|Winchester (John Handley) at #2 doubles, losing 8-5. Moomau did win at #4 singles, though, 6-4, 6-2. Sophomore Nicole Parker|Richmond (Mills Godwin) lost in three sets 3-6, 6-0, 6-1 at #5 singles, while classmate Bethany Law|Ona, W. Va. (Cabell Midland) won in three sets 6-1, 3-6, 10-6 at 6 singles. Parker did win 3 doubles 8-5 with junior partner Hannah Hill|Portsmouth (Western Branch).
