SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Longwood University won a 4-2 women's tennis road match at the University of South Carolina Upstate of the Atlantic Sun Conference Monday afternoon in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Sophomore Nicole Parker|Richmond (Mills Godwin) is on a three-match win streak at both singles and doubles with junior partner Hannah Hill|Portsmouth (Western Branch) as she earned a 6-0, 6-0 shutout victory at #6 singles and an 8-4 win at #3 doubles. The Lancers (4-7) play again on Tuesday, March 13 at Presbyterian in Clinton, South Carolina at 2 p.m.

Hill also won her #5 singles match 6-4, 6-3. Junior Marta Pinyol|Barcelona, Spain (IESM Ferran Tallada) topped her #1 singles opponent 6-0, 6-4 but fell at #2 doubles with sophomore Sarah Moomau|Winchester (John Handley). Moomau also fell at #4 singles 6-0, 7-6. Freshman Malin Allgurin|Värnamo, Sweden (Finnvedens Gymnasium) won 6-3, 6-0 at #3 singles and lost 8-5 at #1 doubles with junior Allison Shulman|Richmond (Deep Run). Shulman did not finish her match at #2 singles as the score was 6-2, 6-5 when it was cut short.
