BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Longwood Universtity women's tennis team was swept at Campbell in Buies Creek, North Carolina 7-0 Wednesday afternoon. Freshman Malin Allgurin|Värnamo, Sweden (Finnvedens Gymnasium) put up a close fight in the second set at #2 singles, but ultimately lost 6-2, 7-5. The Lancers (1-3) will play at Richmond in Richmond at noon on Saturday, February 18.

Allgurin also played with junior Allison Shulman|Richmond (Deep Run) at  No. 1 doubles and fell 8-4. Junior Marta Pinyol|Barcelona, Spain (IESM Ferran Tallada), lost the #1 singles match 6-1, 6-4 while pairing with sophomore Sarah Moomau|Winchester (John Handley) for the 8-4 loss at #2 doubles. Moomau also lost 6-3, 6-0 at No. 4 singles.

In the #3 singles match, junior Hannah Hill|Portsmouth (Western Branch) fell 6-4, 6-0 and went down 8-2 in #3 doubles action with sophomore partner Nicole Parker|Richmond (Mills Godwin). Parker played to a 6-1, 6-1 loss at #5 singles. Sophomore Bethany Law|Ona, W. Va. (Cabell Midland) dropped her #6 singles 6-2, 6-1.
