PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Longwood University women's basketball team will play its second of eight straight road games at the University of Pittsburgh of the Big East Conference on Monday, November 26. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Panthers' Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Looking at Longwood
The Lancers are 1-4 so far this season. The squad dropped a 75-67 decision in its only game last week at Coppin State University on Nov. 20. Through five games, LU is led by senior
Chelsea Coward with 18.0 points per game and 11.4 rebounds per game. Classmate
Crystal Smith is second on the team with 12.6 points per game, followed by freshman

Khalilah Ali is second on the team with 5.4 rebounds per game. As a team, the Lancers are shooting 36% (111-311) from the field, including 29% (40-137) from beyond the arc, and 67% (51-76) from the foul line.
Scouting Pittsburgh
The Panthers are in the midst of a four-game win streak and currently sit at 4-1 on the season. In their two most recent outings, Pitt, under the direction of 10th-year head coach Agnus Berenato, defeated Brown, 58-57, on Nov. 24 and Wagner, 65-39, on Nov. 20. The squad is led by junior Asia Logan with 18.4 points per game and 8.0 rebounds per game. Redshirt-junior Ashlee Anderson has added 10.4 points per game and 5.0 boards per game. As a team, the Panthers are shooting 38% (121-318) from the field, including 26% (16-61) from three-point territory, and 71% (66-93) from the line.
Series History
Monday's contest will mark the first ever meeting between Longwood and Pittsburgh. The Panthers are one of four opponents that the Lancers will meet for the first time in 2012-13.
