Nicole Parker|Richmond (Mills Godwin) went a perfect 5-0 at No. 6 singles this spring after winning 6-2, 6-3 today. Seniors
Zsofia Jakab|Minusio, Switzerland (Lices Cantonale Locarns) (8-6) and
Nasim Moadab|Colonial Heights (Colonial Heights) (2-0), sophomore
Marta Pinyol|Barcelona, Spain (IESM Ferran Tallada) (9-6), and freshman
Sarah Moomau|Winchester (John Handley) (8-7) join Parker with winning records at the conclusion of the spring season. The Lancers (8-7) finished their fourth winning season in eight years and second in a row.
Parker also won at No. 3 doubles 9-7, partnering with sophomore
Hannah Hill|Portsmouth (Western Branch). Jakab lost at No. 1 singles 6-3, 2-6, 10-7 but won at No. 1 doubles with Pinyol 8-3. Pinyol also won her No. 2 singles match 6-0, 5-7, 10-5, and Moomau was victorious 6-4, 6-0 at No. 5.
Junior
Veronika Bohm|Hirschberg, Germany (Ludwig Frank) lost the other singles match 6-3, 5-7, 10-5 at No. 3, but sophomore
Allison Shulman|Richmond (Deep Run) came out on top at No. 4 with scores of 6-2, 6-4. Shulman dropped her No. 2 doubles match, however, going down 9-8 (6) with freshman partner
