Marta Pinyol|Barcelona, Spain (IESM Ferran Tallada) fell at No. 1 4-8, while sophomore
Allison Shulman|Richmond (Deep Run) and freshman partner
Bethany Law|Ona, W. Va. (Cabell Midland) dropped their No. 2 doubles match 3-8.
Jakab also fell at No. 1 singles 1-6, 1-6, and Pinyol lost 3-6, 3-6 in her No. 2 slot. Falling at No. 3 singles was junior
Veronika Bohm|Hirschberg, Germany (Ludwig Frank) 0-6, 3-6. Freshmen
Sarah Moomau|Winchester (John Haneley) lost 7-5, 1-6, 8-10 in the No. 5 slot, and Shulman and Law lost the other two singles matches at No. 4 and 6, respectively. Shulman retired due to injury after losing the first set 0-6 as Law fell 1-6, 2-6.
