In the third, Cerreto led-off with another single and later crossed the plate on an RBI ground-ball out by senior Nick von Gersdorff/Purcellville (Loudoun Valley) (2-5, 2 RBI). In the fourth, sophomores Topher Ellis/Virginia Beach (First Colonial) (1-3) and Scott Kimble/Spotsylvania (Spotsylvania) (0-2) each drew walks and Ellis later scored on an RBI single from Jones, while Kimble crossed the plate on a sacrifice fly by Cerreto.
