Coach Shawn Abell: “Topher returns as the starting second baseman and will also be the backup behind the dish.  He had a good freshman campaign, and we are looking for him to carry that over into his sophomore season.  Topher plays a strong second base, and we will look for him to be a table-setter for the Lancer offense.”

2007: Started 44 of 47 games played … hit .316 with six doubles, 18 RBI, 17 runs, and 9-12 stolen bases … led team in assists (112) … had 11 multi-hit games, and five multi-RBI games … season-best nine-game hitting streak (13-28, .464) …

High School: standout at First Colonial … All-Region, All-District, and All-Tidewater, hitting .402 as a senior … played in 2006 VHSCA East-West Senior All-Star Game … led team to State Semifinals as a senior and junior … 

Personal: Son of Patrick Ellis and Lynn Brody … kinesiology major.
