Longwood University Athletics

FARMVILLE, Va. -- Longwood University sophomore cross country runner Russell Reed|Onemo (Mathews) is this week's Longwood Male Athlete of the Week.  He led the Lancers at the VMI Invitational September 1 with his personal-best time of 16:22 over the 5K course to place 10th among 25 competitors.  Russell was running in his first collegiate race and posted the third-fastest 5K time in the program's history.  Longwood will race again on September 15 at the JMU Open Invitational in Harrisonburg.
