Libby Morris was dominant in her return from a knee injury that forced her to miss three weeks of her senior season. She was named Most Valuable Player of the Big South Tournament after leading Longwood to wins in all three games she pitched, including the championship-clinching victory over Presbyterian. She carried that momentum into the NCAA Regional where she held SEC powerhouse Tennessee to two runs in 4.0 innings before tossing three shutout innings the next day to close out the historic 6-4 win over Virginia Tech.
