The head coaches of Longwood's diamond Lancers will discuss the successful starts to their respective seasons on Longwood athletics' flagship station alongside Longwood senior associate athletics director and Voice of the Lancers,
Scott Bacon. The half-hour program will air live on 92.9 FM in Farmville,
www.WVHL.net and on the TuneIn Radio app.
Both the softball and baseball teams have sprinted out of the gate to start their 2016 campaigns. The reigning Big South Champion softball squad is off to a 9-7 start despite an early schedule that included four games against teams from the Southeastern Conference and 11 games on the road. The baseball team has already hit double-digit wins, jumping out to a 10-6 start that includes a 5-0 record in one-run games and two separate win streaks of five games and three games.
WVHL will air a combined 12 Longwood baseball and softball games during the 2016 regular season and every game of the program's respective postseasons. The first installment of WVHL's "Game of the Week" series features the baseball team taking on Big South foe Coastal Carolina this Friday, March 18, at 4 p.m. at Buddy Bolding Stadium.
