The Opening Tip
•    Longwood squares off against Charleston Southern Saturday in Charleston, S.C. The matchup is the first meeting since the Lancers upset the top-seeded Buccaneers 68-60 in the quarterfinals of the Big South Championship on March 6, 2015.
•    In that last game between the teams, Shaquille Johnson went off for 22 points, 15 rebounds, five blocks and two assists en route to Big South All-Tournament honors.
•    The last time Longwood played at CSU Fieldhouse, Lotanna Nwogbo suffered a season-ending thumb injury in a 68-54 loss on Jan. 10, 2015 and missed the final 17 games of the season. 
•    Longwood has had four double-figure scorers in three of the past four games. Point guard Tra'Vaughn White has led the team in scoring in three straight games.

Last Time Out
•    Longwood point guard Tra'Vaughn White torched Campbell for a career-high 29 points in a dramatic 80-79 win Wednesday evening at Willett Hall.
•    White scored 20 points in the second half to help the Lancers withstand an eight-point rally from Campbell in the final 14 seconds of the game. 
•    Longwood led 78-71 with 18 seconds left, but Chris Clemons hit a layup to cut the lead to five and responded to two White free throws with a three-pointer with nine seconds left. Campbell intercepted Longwood's next inbounds pass, and Troy Harper hit another three to cut it to 80-79 before the final whistle.
•    Lotanna Nwogbo added 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Darrion Allen stuffed the stat sheet with 17 points, six rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block.
 
By The Numbers
•    The Lancers have outrebounded four of their past seven opponents, including rebounding advantages of +17 and +14 in two games against Campbell. The Lancers own a +3.4 rebounding margin during that seven-game span.
•    Longwood is 7-4 this season when outrebounding the opposition, including 4-0 in Big South play.
•    Seven Lancers average at least 7.0 rebounds per game, including senior forward Shaquille Johnson (7.3 rpg.). Longwood has been outrebounded in just four of the 12 games with Johnson in the lineup and owns a +3.1 rebounding advantage in those contests.

In 12 games with Johnson in the lineup, opponents have shot just .398 (273-of-686) from the field while averaging 68.5 points per game. In the 12 games without Johnson, opponents shot .490 (334-of-681) and averaged 80.5 points per game.
•    Tra'Vaughn White has scored in double figures in seven straight games and leads Longwood with 19.9 points per game, 47 made field goals, 19 made three-pointers, a .442 (19-of-43) three-point percentage, 21 assists and nine steals in that span.
•    Center Lotanna Nwogbo ranks second in the Big South with 154 free throw attempts this season. He has made more than 10 free throws in three games this season and is shooting .662 (102-of-154) from the line.
•    Junior guard Darrion Allen leads all Big South guards with 17 blocks this season while also ranking among the conference's top 10 with 1.5 steals per game.
