Leaving at 3:45 Wednesday morning was nothing for us with Hawaii on our minds! Our first flight from Richmond took us to Dallas, where we arrived at 9:30 a.m. local time. We then impatiently sat on the plane for the next eight hours before arriving in beautiful Honolulu at 4 p.m. local time, which is 9 p.m. on the east coast!
Upon arrival we were greeted by Al (our tour guide) with beautiful white leis! He then escorted us to our house where we quickly claimed our rooms. After settling in our new home for the next week and a half, we ate at a local restaurant named Zippy's.
Tomorrow, we will have practice in the morning at the University of Hawaii and then get to explore this beautiful island for the rest of the day.
