The Opening Tip
•    Longwood concludes a four-game road swing Tuesday at Dartmouth in the final non-conference road game of the year. Longwood will then have just one non-conference bout — against Cairn on Dec. 28 — before opening Big south play against UNC Asheville on Dec. 31.
•    Longwood is 1-0 against Ivy League teams this season after defeating Columbia, 70-69, on NOv. 28 in Manhattan, N.Y.
•    The Lancers have played nine of their past 10 games on the road.
•    Redshirt senior point guard Tra'Vaughn White (9.2 ppg., 2.2 rpg.) and sophomore guard Kanayo Obi-Rapu (13.0 ppg., 2.5 rpg.) are day-to-day with injuries. White has missed seven straight games with a hand injury, while Obi-Rapu suffered a leg injury Saturday at George Mason.

Last Time Out
•    In the first-ever meeting between the schools, George Mason rode a 15-point second half from freshman DeAndre Abram to a 75-70 comeback win over Longwood Saturday at EagleBank Arena.
 •    Abram broke out for a career-high 24 points as the Patriots overcame a 10-point deficit and held off a late Longwood charge by knocking down eight of their final 10 free throws inside the final minute. Abram hit the last three of those with under 10 seconds remaining to fight off a Longwood team that had trimmed the deficit to three points.
•    The Lancers led by as many as 11 points in the first half.
•    Abram's 24-point effort neutralized the best game of the season from Longwood's Shaquille Johnson, who hit 9-of-11 field goals and finished with 23 points and 11 rebounds

By The Numbers
•    In Longwood's last meeting against an Ivy League foe, senior guard Leron Fisher went off for 18 points and eight assists to lead the Lancers to a 70-69 win against Columbia on Nov. 28, 2015. With six seconds remaining, Fisher fed freshman Chris Shields under the basket for the game-winning layup in Manhattan.
•    Fisher one of only five Big South players averaging at least 10.0 points, 3.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game. He ranks second in the conference with 4.4 assists per game,  seven with a 1.4 assist-to-turnover ratio, 13th with 1.2 steals per game and 22nd with 11.6 points per game.
•    Fisher, who led the Big South in steals and steals per game last season, has recorded at least one steal in nine straight games.
•    Redshirt sophomore forward Khris Lane leads all Big South big men with 30.1 minutes per game. The 6-6, 235-pound Drexel transfer is one of only two players in the league averaging at least 10.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.
•    Longwood Big South Preseason All-Conference center Lotanna Nwogbo is one of only two Big South players averaging at least 13.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game. He joins reigning Big South Player of the Year John Brown of High Point on that list.
•    A transfer prior to the 2013-14 season, Nwogbo has scored in double figures in 21 of his 29 games as a Lancer. He is averaging 13.4 points per game in his two seasons at Longwood, compared to the 1.9 he averaged in two seasons at Tulane.
•    Senior forward Shaquille Johnson has recorded two double-doubles in his three games since returning to the lineup. A 2015 Big South All-Tournament Team selection, the 6-5, 220-pound Johnson has four double-doubles in his past six games dating back to the 2014-15 season.
•    Junior guard Darrion Allen has seven blocks, tied for the most among all Big South guards.
