The Opening Tip•   The Lancers will play their third straight road game Saturday when they head to Fairfax, Va., to take on George Mason at 8 p.m. The game will be the first meeting between the two Virginia schools.
•   Longwood is nearing the end of a lengthy road gauntlet, having played eight of the past nine games on the road. Longwood will play two more road games during that stretch before returning home on Dec. 28 to face Cairn.
•   Longwood has two more non-conference games remaining before the start of Big South play.
•   Redshirt senior point guard
Tra'Vaughn White is day-to-day with a hand injury. Prior to suffering the injury before Longwood's Nov. 25 game at Maine, White had scored 21 points against Eastern Kentucky and was averaging 9.2 points, 2.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.
Last Time Out•   Leyton Hammonds scored 22 points to help, Oklahoma State wrestle control of a one-possession game late in the second half and dispatch visiting Longwood, 73-55, on ESPNU.
•   Hammonds scored nine points inside the final 11 minutes to key a game-changing 19-4 run for the Cowboys, who pulled away from the Lancers immediately following a 43-minute delay due to a power outage in Gallagher-Iba Arena.Â
•   Longwood had cut a 19-point deficit to 37-35 in the second half before the power outage sent both teams to the locker room with Oklahoma State leading by eight. The Cowboys came out after the delay with a 19-4 that put the game away.
•  Â
Leron Fisher scored 18 points for Longwood, while
Khris Lane recorded his second double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
By The Numbers•   Longwood Big South Preseason All-Conference center
Lotanna Nwogbo is one of only two players in the Big South averaging at least 14.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game. He joins reigning Big South Player of the Year John Brown of High Point on that list.
•   Nwogbo is tied for the Big South lead with 80 free throw attempts. He has twice attempted 18 free throws in a game this season, hitting 13-of-18 against S.C. State on Nov. 20 and 11-of-18 at High Point on Dec. 2.
•   A transfer prior to the 2013-14 season, Nwogbo has scored in double figures in 20 of his 28 games as a Lancer. He is averaging 13.4 points per game in his two seasons at Longwood, compared to the 1.9 he averaged in two seasons at Tulane.
•   Redshirt sophomore
Khris Lane has put together back-to-back 10-rebound games, including a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double at Oklahoma State on Dec. 15. The 6-6, 225-pound Lane ranks second in the Big South with 8.4 rebounds per game and has three double-digit rebound games this season.
•   Junior guard
Darrion Allen leads all Big South guards with seven blocks. He also ranks sixth in the conference with 1.5 steals per game and has at least one steal in eight of his 11 games.
•   Allen has hit at least three field goals in eight of his 11 games this season. He hit three-plus field goals in just eight of 33 games as a sophomore.
•   Longwood is among the top three-point shooting teams in the Big South, thanks in large part to sophomore shooting guard
Kanayo Obi-Rapu's .479 (34-of-71) clip. Obi-Rapu ranks fifth nationally in three-point percentage (min. 65 attempts), while the Lancers rank second in the Big South with a .373 (76-of-204) clip.
•   Senior guard
Leron Fisher has at least one steal in seven straight games. Fisher tied for the Big South lead in steals and steals per game in 2014-15.
