The Opening Tip
•    For the first time in program history, the Longwood men's basketball team will play on an ESPN television network this Tuesday when the Lancers face Oklahoma State on ESPNU at 9 p.m. EST.
•    In their last game against a Big 12 team, the Lancers pulled off an 82-79 upset at TCU on Nov. 12, 2013. Longwood point guard Lucas Woodhouse hit a game-winning three-pointer with one second remaining to give the Lancers their first win of the Jayson Gee era.
•    Tuesday's matchup will be the second of five straight road games for the Lancers, who will play just one home game during an 11-game stretch from Nov. 20 to Dec. 22.
•    Longwood welcomed senior Shaquille Johnson back to the lineup Saturday. Johnson averaged 13.6 points and 5.6 rebounds as a junior.

Last Time Out
•    Richmond forward T.J. Cline poured in a game-high 18 points as one of five double-figure scorers to help push Richmond past Longwood 77-59 Saturday evening in the Robins Center.
•    Cline and reigning Atlantic 10 Player of the Week Terry Allen combined for 34 points, while ShawnDre Jones added 12, Marshall Wood added 11 and Trey Davis added 10.
•    Cline and Allen's production helped the Spiders overcome a near triple-double from Longwood senior forward Shaquille Johnson, who added 10 points, 11 rebounds and six assists in his 2015-16 debut. Kanayo Obi-Rapu added a team-high 17 points and knocked down 3-of-7 three-pointers, while Lotanna Nwogbo neared a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.

By The Numbers
•    Longwood is among the top three-point shooting teams in the Big South, thanks in large part to sophomore shooting guard Kanayo Obi-Rapu's .500 (34-of-68) clip. Obi-Rapu ranks fourth nationally in three-point percentage (min. 60 attempts) and 10th with 34 made three-pointers.
•    Obi-Rapu has hit at least one trey in all 10 games this season with 3+ treys in seven contests. Obi-Rapu has accounted for 48.6 percent of Longwood's total made three-pointers.
•    Obi-Rapu has been Longwood's go-to scorer in the second half this season, averaging 9.9 points after halftime while shooting .512 (22-of-43) from three-point range. He has scored in double figures in the second half five times this season.
•    Longwood is the top free throw shooting team in the Big South and the league's third best three-point shooting squad, shooting .750 (153-of-204) from the charity stripe and .372 (70-of-188) from beyond the arc.
•    Drexel transfer Khris Lane has emerged as Longwood's top rebounder in his first season, averaging 8.2 boards per game to rank second in the Big South. He is one of only two players in the league averaging at least 10.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.
•    Longwood Big South Preseason All-Conference center Lotanna Nwogbo is one of only two players in the Big South averaging at least 14.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game. He joins reigning Big South Player of the Year John Brown of High Point on that list.
•    Senior Shaquille Johnson returned to the lineup Saturday against Richmond and became an immediate contributor, posting 10 points, 11 rebounds and six assists in 25 minutes off the bench.
•    A Big South All-Tournament Team selection in 2015, the 6-5, 220-pound Johnson was named the No. 12 dunker in college basketball by CBSSports.com in the preseason.
