FARMVILLE, Va. – The Longwood men's basketball team will return to the Richmond, Va., area for the first time in more than six seasons this Saturday, Dec. 12, for a televised matchup against Atlantic 10 contender Richmond at 6:30 p.m. in the Robins Center.

Longwood's return to Richmond pits the Lancers (3-6) against a Richmond team that enters the weekend ranked 43rd in the NCAA RPI. The game will air live on WTVR CBS 6, the local CBS affiliate in Richmond.

Saturday also marks a homecoming for Longwood redshirt sophomore
Khris Lane, a Richmond, Va., native and Benedictine Prep product who has emerged as the second-leading rebounder in the Big South in his first season in Farmville.

Last Time Out•   UMBC's Rodney Elliott scored 18 points and Cody Joyce added 16 off the bench to lead the Retrievers to a 70-59 win over Longwood Saturday afternoon in Willett Hall.
•   Elliott's 18 points came on 5-of-8 shooting as one of four double-figure scorers for UMBC, including Joyce, who hit 7-of-12 shots and added six rebounds to lead a UMBC bench that contributed 21 points.Â
•   Longwood opened the game with a 22-7 run that included 11 consecutive points by

Khris Lane (Benedictine Prep) has emerged as one of the conference's top rebounders in his first season at Longwood, averaging 8.0 boards per game to rank second in the Big South.
•   Lane is one of only two players in the Big South averaging at least 10.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. He has grabbed at least eight boards five times, including a school Division I-record tying 20 in his first game as a Lancer.
•   Lane is shooting .531 (17-of-32) from the floor over his past four games with two double-figure scoring games during that stretch.
•   Longwood Big South Preseason All-Conference center
Lotanna Nwogbo is one of only two players in the Big South averaging at least 15.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game. He joins reigning Big South Player of the Year John Brown of High Point on that list.
•   Nwogbo has scored in double figures in five straight games and is averaging 17.4 points and 9.0 free throw attempts per game during that stretch.
•   Since his return to the lineup on Nov. 21, senior point guard
Leron Fisher has been Longwood's top distributor, dishing out 31 assists in just six games (5.1 apg.). Fisher has averaged 11.0 points per game during that run.
•   Longwood's roster includes one of the nation's leading three-point shooter in sophomore guard
