The Opening Tip
•    Longwood continues a stretch of six straight road games Wednesday with a 2:30 p.m. showdown at Maine. The road game is the fourth in a row for the Lancers, who play just one of 11 games at home from Nov. 20 through Dec. 22.
•    The Lancers have had at least one 20-point scorer in all five games this season, including three 20-point outbursts from sophomore guard Kanayo Obi-Rapu.
•    Longwood leads the Big South in assists per game (17.6 apg.), three-point percentage (.416 — 42-of-101) and free throw percentage (.783 — 83-of-106). Obi-Rapu leads the nation with 21 three-pointers and ranks second with a .553 three-point clip, while Darrion Allen is a perfect 15-of-15 from the free throw line. Three Lancers rank inside the Big South top 10 in assists per game.

Last Time Out
•    Eastern Kentucky overcame two 20-point scorers and a 97-point explosion from Longwood to take down the Lancers 110-97 on the final day of the EKU Hoops Classic in Richmond, Ky.
•    Longwood center Lotanna Nwogbo scored 26 points, Tra'Vaughn White contributed 21 and Leron Fisher added 18, but EKU's Jarelle Reischel scored 18 of his career-high 37 points over the final 7:15 to engineer a late comeback.
•    Eastern Kentucky scored on 15 of their final 16 possessions to overcome a 78-76 Longwood lead.
•    Reischel's dominant run in the closing minutes came as part of a .813 second-half shooting clip for the Colonels, who trailed 43-42 at halftime.
•    The 97 points marked Longwood's highest scoring output against a Division I opponent since a 102-101 win over Liberty on Feb. 19, 2013.

By The Numbers
•    Longwood's roster includes the nation's leading three-point shooter in sophomore guard Kanayo Obi-Rapu, whose 21 made treys are the most in the nation. Obi-Rapu ranks second nationally with a .553 clip as well, the highest mark among all shooters with at least 30 attempts.
•    Obi-Rapu has hit multiple three-pointers and shot at least 50.0 percent from three-point range in every game this season. He ranks third in the Big South with 17.3 points per game.
•    The Lancers are the top three-point and free throw shooting team in the Big South, posting conference-best marks of .416 (42-of-101) from three-point range and .783 (83-of-106) from the free throw line.
•    Longwood also leads the Big South in assists per game (17.6) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.4:1). The Lancers have assisted on a league-high 64 percent of their field goals and have three players — Bryan Gee (t-4th, 3.8 apg.), Darrion Allen (t-4th, 3.8 apg.) and Tra'Vaughn White (6th, 3.2) — ranked among the top 10 in the Big South in assists per game.
•    Big South Preseason All-Conference center Lotanna Nwogbo put together two of the best games of his career last weekend at the EKU Hoops Classic. He broke out for career highs of 27 points and 15 rebounds against S.C. State on Nov. 20 and ended the tournament with a 26-point, seven-rebound effort against Eastern Kentucky on Nov. 22.
•    Guard Darrion Allen is a perfect 15-of-15 from the free throw line to start his junior season. Allen's flawless shooting is tied for the nation's second longest consecutive made free throw streak to start the season.
•    Redshirt freshman Bryan Gee has recorded 19 assists while turning the ball over just five times through the first five games of his career. The son of head coach Jayson Gee, Bryan ranks second in the Big South with a 3.8 assist-to-turnover ratio.
