Biography

2023 (Senior): One of three players to appear and start all 53 games for the Lancers…Named to 2023 Big South Second-Team All-Conference…Won Big South Player of the Week after hitting .500 with three home runs (5/1)…Batted .303 with 50 hits, eight doubles, six home runs, and a team-high 37 RBIs…Second on the team in stolen bases with 10…Recorded 2+ hits 13 times and 3+ hits four times…

2022 (Junior): Earned a spot on the 2022 Big South All-Tournament Team after explosive performance in the conference tournament. Appeared in 57 games, started in 56. Sported a .284 b/avg, .425 slg%, and .402 ob%. Taylor had a bit of a breakout year grabbing home runs in clutch moments of the season. She totaled five home runs, and four doubles on the year, with 20 total runs, and 38 hits on 134 at bats. She added 14 stolen bases to her career total, and a field percentage of .913 from shortstop and second.

2021 (Sophomore): Appeared and started in all 54 games for the Lancers. Taylor totaled 34 hits, 26 RBIs, and 143 at bats. Finished with a .239 b/avg, .485 slg%, and .351 ob%. Taylor put up 26 RBIs, seven home runs, eight doubles, and one triple. She also added 17 stolen bases to her stat line and 23 walks. In the field, Taylor had 70 putouts and three assists.

2020 (Freshman): Appeared in 20 games, all starts as a true freshman…made all 20 of those starts in center field…hit .244 (10-for-41) with two doubles and a triple…drove in seven runs and scored nine times…had one of Longwood’s two three-hit games, going 3-for-3 with two RBI, two runs, a double and two steals against Florida A&M on Feb. 14…finished a perfect 5-for-5 stealing bases…scored runs in each of her first four collegiate games…began her college career going 7-for-13 in her first five games with six runs, two doubles, three walks and four stolen bases…went 2-for-3 with a triple, RBI and a run in her final game…posted a .396 on base percentage with a team-high 11 walks.

High School: Lettered in softball, indoor and outdoor track for all four years while earning letters in her final three seasons in volleyball at Lee-Davis High School…First Team All-Conference three straight seasons at shortstop…First Team All-Region selection once and two-time Second Team All-Region selection…First Team All-State as a sophomore…Went to state in track for triple jump twice and long jump once…
