Biography

2021-22: Smooth, consistent, veteran guard who started all 33 games while helping Longwood win its first Big South regular season and championship title to earn a trip to the NCAA National Tournament…All-Big South First Team Selection…Big South Tournament MVP and All-Tournament Team…Big South Player of the Week twice…One of three players who averaged in double figures in scoring, tallying 12.7 points per game while leading Longwood in rebounds at 6.2 boards per game…Posted two double-doubles…Scored in double figures 23 times, including all three games of the Big South Tournament, and scored at least 20 points three times…Shot .394 (61-155) from three-point range, with his 61 three’s good for second on the team…Made multiple three’s and shot better than 50 percent from three 12 times…Third in the Big South in steals per game (1.6)…Averaged 15.7 points per game in the Big South Tournament…Totaled 19 points in the Big South Championship Game on 7-11 shooting from the floor to go with 3-6 from three…Posted a 15-point, 12-rebound double-double against North Carolina A&T in the Big South Quarterfinals (March 4), with the 12 rebounds representing a season-high…In the game, went 8-8 from the free throw line in an overtime win…Scored a career best 25 points on Feb. 19 against Hampton on 9-16 shooting, 3-8 from three…Posted his first double-double of the season with a 19-point, 10-rebound effort on Nov. 12 against Virginia University of Lynchburg

2020-21 (Wake Forest): Key contributor in the backcourt rotation in debut year at Wake Forest…appeared in 17 games with one start while averaging 10.7 minutes per game…debuted with 10 points in 22 minutes against Delaware State (Nov. 25)…played 20-plus minutes off the bench three times, including 21 minutes against Longwood in the Lancers’ season opener (Nov. 27)…shot .355 (11-of-31) from the floor.
 
2019-20 (Virginia Tech): Played in all 32 games with five starts…averaged 4.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 14.4 minutes per game…hit 16-of-22 free throws and 23 three-pointers…grabbed 21 of his 84 boards on the offensive glass, the fifth most on the team and third most among Virginia Tech’s guards…scored in double figures four times, including back-to-back 13-point games against Gardner-Webb (Dec. 15) and VMI (Dec. 21)…also scored 11 points and swiped a season-high three steals against No. 6 Duke (Feb. 22)…hit five three-pointers during a 15-point effort against Delaware State (Nov. 20)…also dished a season-high seven assists in that game against Delaware State.
 
2018-19 (Virginia Tech): Played in 34 games and made one start for a Virginia Tech squad that finished 26-9 and reached the NCAA Sweet 16…averaged 4.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 14.4 minutes per game…shot .487 (57-of-117) from the floor and .407 (22-of-54) from three-point range…also hit 23-of-31 free throws…grabbed 31 of his 78 rebounds on the offensive glass…opened his collegiate career with 21 points against Gardner-Webb, shooting 7-of-10 from the floor and 5-of-7 from three-point range (Nov. 9)…logged four double-digit scoring games…had back-to-back double-digit outbursts against Miami, scoring 11 points in the opener (March 8) and 20 more in the follow-up five days later (May 13)...played in all three NCAA Tournament games, including 10 minutes in a 75-73 Sweet 16 loss to No. 1 Duke…named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
 
High School: Three-year varsity letterwinner at Mount Tabor High School…averaged 22.2 points per game as a senior to help Mount Tabor to a 23-7 record.
 
Personal: Son of Shareesa and Melvin Wilkins…has one brother, Jairus…brother played football at Elizabeth City State.
