Lindsay Bentley begins her third year at Longwood as an Assistant Athletic Trainer where she oversees the men’s soccer and softball programs.
In addition to her role as athletic trainer, Bentley serves as a mentor for the organization Lancer StrongHER -- an organization for female student-athletes.
Bentley previously worked as an Athletic Training Fellow at the University of Kansas from July 2016 through July 2017 with the softball and women’s soccer programs.
Before her time in Lawrence, Kan., Bentley was employed as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Guilford College from Aug. 2015 to July 2016, and was the Head Athletic Trainer at PK Yonge Developmental Research School for the University of Florida.
Bentley has certifications in CPR and AED from the American Heart Association, Functional Movement Systems Level 1 and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA). She also has gained experience through her time as a Student Research Assistant at Charlotte, Functional Sport Performance Rehabilitation at Florida, Surgery Observation, Clinical Cadaver Anatomy Teaching Assistant as well as a Certified Athletic Trainer.
Bentley graduated from UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science in athletic training in 2013, and earned her Master of Science in applied physiology and kinesiology from the University of Florida.
