Biography
2015-16: Eligible to play after redshirting the 2014-15 season due to NCAA transfer rules...veteran point guard with a scoring mentality...excels at getting to the basket and finishing in traffic...was the nation's leading junior college scorer at Independence CC in 2012-13...will push for a starting role in his first season of eligiblity at Longwood.
2014-15: Transferred to Longwood from Duquesne University...sat out the 2014-15 season due to NCAA transfer rules.
2013-14 (Duquesne): Started eight of 30 games at Duquesne, averaging 7.4 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game...shot .413 (78-of-189) from the field and .371 (23-of-62) from three-point range...logged a 1.3:1 assist-to-turnover ratio...scored in double figures 11 times, including two 20-point efforts...started eight of Duquesne's first nine games, scoring in double figures in six of those contests...dropped 20 points in the season opener against Abilene Christian (11/9) to open a streak of four straight double-figure scoring games...also had 22 points against UMBC (12/4).
2012-13 (Independence Community College): The nation's junior college scoring leader with 25.9 points per game...named Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Player of the Year...added 5.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.0 steals per game...shot .536 from the field and .354 (45-of-127) from three-point range...logged 11 30-point games, including a season-high 44 against Coffeyville...hit 17-of-26 shots in that game against Coffeyville.
2011-12 (Independence Community College): Played in 24 games, averaging 12.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.5 steals per game...shot .510 (98-of-192) from the field and .770 (104-of-135) from the free throw line.
High School: Played at Washington High School in Kansas City, Kan., under head coach Eric King...broke Washington's all-time scoring record with 1,350 points as a two-year starter...the former record belonged to UCLA standout Earl Watson, who played for the Bruins from 1998-09 and is an NBA veteran...scored 20-plus points in 37 of his 48 varsity starts, including 30 or more 10 times...averaged 23.3 points per game as a senior whiel shooting 57 percent to lead Washington to a 22-3 record and the Kansas 5A state title game...named 2011 All-Metro Player of the Year by The Kansas City Star...also earned first team all-state honors from The Topeka Capital-Journal/Wichita Eagle...led the Kansas 5A state tournament in scoring with a 26.3 ppg. average...scored 34 points (18-of-24 from the foul line) in a state quarterfinal win over Lansing...scored 29 points in an upset win over three-time defending 5A state champion Highland Park...the victory helped Washington reach the state tournament for the first time since 2004...scored 27 points against three-time defending league champion Sumner Academy to help Washington clinch its first title in over a decade...as a junior, was the second-leading scorer in the state of Kansas with 24.6 points per game...went 17-of-18 from the field to score 38 points in a win over Olathe Christian...scored 30 points in an upset win over Kansas City metro preseason No. 1 Raytown South...two-time Kansas City Kansan (KCK) Player of the Year.
