Longwood University Athletics

2019-20: One of the top scoring threats in the Big South entering his senior season…a knockdown three-point shooter who can pull up from the perimeter or drive to the lane…can score at all three levels…at his best when aggressively attacking defenses…pairs with fellow senior Shabooty Phillips to give Longwood one of the top guard tandems in the Big South.
 
2018-19: Emerged as Longwood’s most productive scorer down the stretch, averaging a team-high 17.1 points per game in his final nine outings…averaged 11.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game in his first season as a Lancer…missed the first 11 games of the season after suffering a hand injury in the preseason…returned to the lineup on Dec. 13 and started Longwood’s final 22 games…finished as the team’s third-leading scorer…shot .348 (40-of-115) from three-point range, .413 (86-of-208) from the field and .769 (40-of-52) from the free throw line…scored in double digits in seven of his final nine games, including three 20-point outbursts…helped lead Longwood to a dominant 90-68 win over Conference USA powerhouse Southern Miss in the first round of the College Basketball Invitational, scoring a team-high 23 points and hitting 5-of-9 three-pointers…also added eight rebounds, two assists and a steal in that game…scored a career-high 27 points in 30 minutes against Hampton (Feb. 21), hitting 9-of-13 shots from the field and all four three-point attempts…hit at least four three-pointers five times…led Longwood to a 6-5 record in the 11 games he scored in double figures.

2017-18 (Pratt Community College): Cornerstone of the Pratt men’s basketball team, starting all 31 games while averaging 14.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game…the only player on the team to start all 31 games… led the team in points, made free throws, free throw attempts and field goal attempts…also ranked second on the team with 34 steals…shot .459 (161-of-351) from the floor,.336 (42-of-125) from three-point range and .823 (79-of-96) from the charity stripe… scored in double figures 22 times, including a 33-point outburst against Cloud County on Jan. 27…hit 13-of-22 shots from the field that night against Cloud…amassed eight 20-point games…had at least seven rebounds five times.
 
2016-17 (Pratt Community College): Starting guard as a freshman, earning starting spots in 24 of his 30 games…averaged 25.3 minutes, 12.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game…shot .405 (51-of-126) from three-point range and .470 (124-of-264) from the field…also knocked down 90.5 percent (67-of-74) of his free throws…Pratt’s top three-point shooter, leading the team in three-point percentage, made three-pointers and three-pointers attempted…posted 47 assists…scored in double figures in 23 of his 30 games…reached 20 points three times…finished the season hitting 22-of-43 three-pointers over his final eight games.
 
High School: A 1,000-point scorer at Moore High School…put together back-to-back 20-point seasons as a junior and senior, averaging at least 20.0 points, 4.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game those years…named to the Coaches Association District All-Star Team…all-conference first team selection…earned MVP honors at the John Nobles Tournament…also an all-tournament first team pick at the New Mexico Holiday Tournament…volunteer resume includes blood drives, feeding the homeless during holidays and assisting in cleanup of the Moore community after the devastating 2013 tornado.
 
Personal: Son of Demetrius and Charlotte Wilson…has a sister, Brittany…cousin, Andrew Wilson, played basketball at Missouri State…favorite athlete is Russell Westbrook…aims to play professionally after college…plans to pursue a pre-med track.
