Biography

2017-18: A big, physical presence in the post...plays with a big-time motor and is among the hardest workers on the team...uses his 6-10, 250-pound frame to set strong screens for his teammates...quintessential teammate who has contributed significantly to team chemistry since arriving on campus...began college career at Stetson in 2015-16 before transferring to Division II Georgia College in 2016-17…will redshirt the 2017-18 season due to NCAA transfer rules.
 
2016-17 (Georgia College): Played in 22 games at Division II Georgia College…averaged 1.8 points and 1.2 rebounds over 6.8 minutes per game…scored a season-high six points twice, going 3-of-6 from the floor in a 55-52 win at Erskine (12/31) and 2-of-5 from the floor in a 62-46 win against Francis Marion (1/9).
 
2015-16 (Stetson): Played in 17 games, all off the bench…averaged 0.2 points and 0.5 blocks per game...played a season-high 11 minutes against Webber International, scoring his first career field goal against the Warriors...grabbed a season-high five rebounds in nine minutes against Albany State...had a pair of blocked shots in overtime home loss to Jacksonville.
 
High School: Graduated from Pope High School in Marietta, Ga....averaged 9.2 points, 7.4 rebounds and three-plus assists per game as a senior...helped lead the Greyhounds to a 26-5 record as a senior...shot .370 from 3-point range and .620 overall...best two games as a senior both came against national power Wheeler High School...scored 22 against then-No. 10 Wheeler in the regular season, and later scored 21 points when the two schools met again in the regional championship game when Wheeler was ranked second overall...Pope was 24-7 during his junior year when he averaged 8.0 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.
 
Personal: Full name is Lawrence Andrew Romich...born July 3, 1996...son of Keith Romich and Kelly Romich...father was an All-American swimmer at Washington and Lee, earning the honor three times in the 200 free, twice in the 400 relay and once in the 800 relay.
