    Graduate Assistant
Madison Lockamy joined the Longwood coaching staff as a graduate assistant in the fall of 2022 following her playing career at Longwood, where she played in 83 matches and started 50 during her Lancer career. She started every game in each of her final three seasons and scored 15 goals to go with five assists. In 2021, she started and played all 20 matches as an attacking central midfielder and tied for the team lead with five goals while adding two assists. The five goals tied her career high, set in 2019. All five goals came in the run of conference play/playoffs. She had a hand in both goals in Longwood’s playoff win over Gardner-Webb (Oct. 30) in the first round of the Big South Tournament, when she scored the opening goal of the game and added an assist on an insurance goal in the 2-0 win. She also scored the game winner in a 1-0 win over Charleston Southern on Oct. 9. She helped Longwood win six straight as part of an eight-match unbeaten streak during conference play.

In the spring of 2021, she was one of eight Lancers to start all 10 games and played in an attacking midfield role. Lockamy had one goal and one assist for a Lancer squad that advanced to the Big South tournament before falling to High Point.

As a junior, Lockamy enjoyed a breakout junior season, scoring five goals and totaling 11 points, both career highs, while earning a spot on the All-Big South Second Team. All five of her goals came in Big South play, placing her tied for sixth in goals per game in conference play.

As a sophomore, she played in all 18 games and made two starts, scoring three goals on the season. All three goals came in conference play, and two were game winners against Winthrop and Campbell.

In her freshman season, she appeared in 18 of 21 games. She started the first game of the season against Howard (8/20) and scored the first goal of her career in a 3-1 win at Big South foe UNC Asheville.

She graduated with her degree from Longwood in 2021 and is pursuing her Master's in Mental Health Counseling.
