Jake Gritzmacher is in his second year at Longwood University during 2014-15, beginning employment on August 25, 2013.  He previously served as a student assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater from 2011-13, while completing his undergraduate degree.  Gritzmacher was also an assistant coach with the Wisconsin Playground Warriors Grassroots Program during 2011-12.
  
Gritzmacher assisted in all phases of the program at UW-Whitewater, the 2012 NCAA Division III National Champion and two-time Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Champions (2012, 2013).  He helped with practice preparation, broke down film for scouting, coordinated video for practice and games, maintained digital video editing equipment and helped with recruiting efforts both on and off campus. 

Gritzmacher also served as a recruiting coordinator for the Wisconsin Playground Warriors, managing a recruiting database for all age levels.  He was responsible for video at all events for the 15U-17U levels, and handled scheduling and coordination of administrative needs and other duties, as assigned by the executive director of the organization.

The West Allis, Wisconsin native earned a bachelor of science degree in human health and performance with an emphasis in recreation and a minor in coaching from Wisconsin-Whitewater in August 2013.  Gritzmacher has worked numerous summer camps, including those conducted at the University of Wisconsin and Marquette University.  He served as a student manager for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men’s basketball program (2009-11), as well.
