Longwood University Athletics

2017 (Senior): Started 3 of 15 games played...spent nearly 300 minutes on the field...part of a Lancer attack that outscored opponents 41-22...made the transition from defender to forward...tallied an assist versus LIU Brooklyn (Sept. 16)...Longwood Scholar-Athlete.

2016 (Junior): Earned her first career start against Liberty...played in all 18 games logging 391 minutes...added five shots with two on goal.

2015 (Sophomore): Played in five games at the defender position... logged 43 minutes and played a season-high 18 minutes at St. Louis... also added one shot versus Ball State.

2014 (Freshman): Appeared in one game for the Lancers, a 4-3 overtime loss at Central Michigan.

High School: Captain of the Albermarle High School field hockey team her senior season. Recorded five goals and 22 assists as a senior and played all three positions. She was named First-Team All-Jefferson District, First-Team All-Central Virginia, First-Team All-Conference and Second-Team All-Region. Vrhovac was also a member of Patriot Athletic Leaders.

Personal:  Daughter of Rick and Jan Vrhovac ’88 and has one brother, Zach and one sister, Jordan. Her brother Zach played football and competed in track and field at Virginia while Jordan played field hockey at Radford and will graduate in 2015. Sarah is majoring in Elementary Education.
