Biography

2020: Compiled a 7.53 ERA in 14.1 innings across six relief appearances while going 1-0 with 15 strikeouts against 12 walks…Struck out multiple batters in five of his six appearances…Four of his six appearances lasted at least two innings…Notched a season-high six strikeouts on Feb. 16 against Purdue Fort Wayne in 3.1 innings of work while walking two and giving up three runs on three hits…Struck out two in a season-high 3.2 innings against NJIT while walking three and giving up two runs on three hits on Feb. 23…Earned the win against Binghamton on Feb. 29 after striking out three over two relief innings and surrendering two runs on three hits and a walk…

2019: Versatile pitcher who worked as both a starter and long reliever with 15 appearances and seven starts…finished third on the team with 51.2 innings pitched while racking up 59 strikeouts with a 7.84 ERA…struck out at least six in six appearances…in went the distance in a seven-inning game in his first start for Longwood while striking out a career high eight to four hits, one run and one walk against Maryland Eastern Shore (2/16, game one)…struck out six in back-to-back appearances against George Mason (2/26) and Hawai’i (3/5) across 8.2 combined innings…struck out seven in a four-inning save at Norfolk State (4/23) while holding the Spartans to one run one four hits and four walks…came on in relief against Navy and threw 5.2 scoreless innings with five strikeouts, two and four walks (5/5)…struck out 33 over six appearances that spanned 25 innings from UNC Asheville (3/31) to Navy (5/5)…

2018: Transfer from Division II Gannon University (Pa.), received redshirt and sat due to NCAA transfer rules.

2017 (Gannon University): Made seven relief appearances at Division II Gannon University … struck out nine batters in 9.0 innings … held hitters to a .250 batting average against … made three scoreless outings … tossed 2.0 innings three times … struck out a season-best three batters in 2.0 innings of work against Seton Hill (3/24).

2016 (Gannon University): Made eight relief appearances … struck out 13 hitters in 10.2 innings … limited the opposition to a .256 average … named a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athlete … held right-handers to a .222 average (6-27) … didn’t allow a hit in 11 at-bats with the bases empty … made his collegiate debut with two relief innings during a 16-12 victory at Limestone on opening day … picked up his first career victory with 2.1 innings out of the bullpen during an 11-10 win against Wheeling Jesuit at the Russ-Matt Invitational in Winter Haven, Florida … allowed one run on one hit against the Cardinals … ended the Russ-Matt Invitational with 1.2 scoreless innings during a 15-3 win against the University of Mary, striking out a season-high four … had four shutout performances in eight outings … ended the campaign with back-to-back scoreless appearances against California (Pa.) and Mercyhurst.

High School: Played for head coach Bob Foust at Reynolds (Pa.) High School … named Region Co-Pitcher of the Year as a senior, posting a 7-1 record and 1.90 ERA with 65 strikeouts … led the region in strikeouts while tying for the lead in victories … was a two-time all-region selection, being named to the first team as a senior … named to second team all-region as a junior with a 4-1 record, 2.30 ERA, and 49 strikeouts … joined his younger brother Noah to break the program record with most double plays turned … served as a team captain … helped Reynolds make its first playoff appearance in eight years and set the school record with 18 wins … was a member of the National Honor Society … named to the high honor roll.
