Kayla Miller is in her eighth season as an assistant coach for softball at Longwood University during 2007-08, though this year is her first serving as a full-time assistant. She is a former two-time summer softball All-American in both USSSA Class A and Class C Leagues. Miller sports three USSSA Class A Championship rings from her playing days with the Cannan (Texas) Illusions.
Miller attended both Wayne (Texas) Community College and Mount Olive (N.C.) College. She played volleyball for two years, and softball for one year with the Trojans in North Carolina, earning All-Conference honors in softball.
A native of Houston, Texas, Miller graduated from Longwood during Summer of 2007 with her bachelor of science degree in liberal studies. Her concentration was in elementary education.
