Biography

Coach Bolding: “Scott enters the 2011 campaign as a utility infielder; but I am waiting for him to buy in to the role scripted for him when he arrived as a rookie in 2010. He is a solid infielder with my sure-out mentality, but he has shown some stubbornness in following my prescription for success with the bat in his hands, which is perfection bunts, solid barrel contact of the thrown baseball and top-half theory. If and when Scott buys in, watch out!”

Started 11 of 23 games … hit .139 with two doubles, four RBI, and seven runs … season-best two-game hitting streak (2-4, .500) … Longwood Scholar-Athlete Award.

Standout at Deep Run … two-time All-District and All-Region as a senior, hitting .460 with six home runs, 10 doubles, and 26 RBI as team MVP … played in VHSCA All-Star Game … also participated in football and golf.
