Biography

Coach Byers on Aridas: “Sara’s spring went very well, her individual skills improved greatly and we are looking for a solid final season from her.”

Junior (2008): Appeared in 15 matches with six starts… attempted one shot…

Sophomore (2007): Appeared in 11 matches with nine starts ... third on the team with two defensive saves ... attempted one shot.

Before Longwood: Four-year member of the field hockey team at Princess Anne HS in Virginia Beach ... won field hockey state championship during her junior year (2004) ... also played four years of soccer and ran track for one year.

Personal: Daughter of James and Gay Aridas ... sister (Julie) was manager for the University of North Carolina men’s basketball team ... volunteers with Special Olympics ... went on a mission trip to Juarez, Mexico… worked at the UNC men’s basketball camp during summer 2009.

Major: Communication studies with public relations concentration.
